'Jersey Shore' Star Engagement: Deena Cortese, Christopher Buckner Reveals Engagement!

The former "Jersey Shore" star, Deena Cortese is soon to become a wife. Her longtime boyfriend, Christopher Buckner proposed on Saturday (18 Nov. 2016) during their vacation in Mexico.

"I always knew I would spend the rest of my life with Christopher," Cortese, who was a former member of the MTV series in season 3, posted on Instagram November 19. Chris made it official on the night of Nov 18 during their beach walk in Mexico. We're engaged!!!!!," Cortese exclaimed.

Furthermore, on Sunday, she kept gushing via web-based networking media with a poolside photo. She told that their vacation denoted the first time she felt "100 percent happy" since her father died in June.

Chris secretly planned their weekend vacation in celebration of their fifth-year anniversary. He chose to set their getaway on one of their favorite destinations. The planning of the engagement comprised an additional importance to Cortese, who lost her dad.

Cortese continued on Instagram November 19, "Chris couldn't have picked a better time to do all of this, especially with the holidays coming up and me and my mom being super sad about not having my dad here."

The star added she was glad they are able to finish the year with a joyful moment. She knew her dad was present during Chris' proposal watching down with a wide smile. Moreover, she expressed her love with Chris, and she added, "love that you brought me to this beautiful place for our anniversary/engagement weekend."

Cortese also showed off her new giant engagement ring on Instagram with a photo of them kissing and toasting with champagne. She captioned the photos, "It fits my little hand perfectly... This still all doesn't feel real!!! I love you @cbuckner_ this weekend has been amazing so far."

It was a moment of truth from a woman who filled with love and joy.
