TaeHyun Leaves WINNER; YG Cancels Contract, Find Out Why

On November 25, YG Entertainment officially declared the departure of Nam TaeHyun in the group WINNER.

It has already been months since reports started to circulate online forecasting the member of WINNER, Nam TaeHyun is set to leave the group. One of the main reason why YG Entertainment nullifies the contract of the 22-year-old singer is due to his mental health issues.

One of the hints that concluded the departure of Nam TaeHyun is when the agency postponed the comeback of the group that last month, October 12. TaeHyun at that moment, was still receiving treatment and therapy, so, the agency then made a decision that it is better to postpone everything as it would be difficult for him to continue and participate in practicing, Soompi has reported.

The cancellation of the singer's contract took place last November 18, YG said,  "after a lengthy conversation with TaeHyun," the agency then continue 'it was deliberated that it would be difficult for him to continue activities through WINNER.

According to iTech Post, TaeHyun suffered from mental health issues that has occurred during his trainee days and has worsened when the group debuted. The agency then guessed that the stress from local and international activities of their band contributed to his deteriorating health.

During a fan meeting with TaeHyun, the singer shared that he had lost 9kg of weight just after he enrolled for the acting school, fans of him are worrying and claiming that they are thankful that he did not even show a single bad side of him, which literally celebrity does.

TaeHyun was a member of Team A survival reality show, "WIN: Who Is Next" in 2013 and has debuted in 2014 having the same members in Team A after winning the show.

The brotherly friendship that has built throughout the year between him and the rest of the member of the WINNER will remain and will continue for what it seems to be. YG Entertainment urged the fans to understand the situation of Nam Tae Hyun and to still continue to support the four-member band.
