In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing last week, NBC decided to pull an episode of its new murder drama Hannibal from the schedule. This would have been the show's fourth episode of its first season and considering each episode follows a linear storyline, the gap between last week's "Potage" and tomorrow night's "Coquilles" would be very confusing for viewers. Luckily, the show and NBC have decided to release this pulled fourth episode, "Ceuf," online in a 4 part series of webisodes. This will allow fans to view the episode and ce ready for the tomorrow's show.

"Ceuf" apparently was pulled due to the episode featuring the aspect of violence towards children. That of course does not stray from the usual subject matter of Hannibal, but under the circumstances most people feel that not airing the episode on television was a smart move.

Hannibal's executive producer Bryan Fuller introduces part one of the "cannibalized" episode. Fuller explains the intentions of the webseries and how it will detail "the relationship between Hannibal Lector and Abigail Hobbs, played by Kacey Rohl." He also says, "As the series goes on, this relationship gets much more complicated and becomes a load-bearing element of our storytelling. So we wanted to make sure that you have all the scenes to follow the story along." Although Abigail Hobbs apparently does not appear in the first three installments of the 'Ceuf' webseries, it looks like it is still very much about her and Lecter.

Here is the first part of 'Ceuf', which was pulled from the NBC schedule. Luckily this will serve as a narrative bridge between episode three and episode five, which airs tomorrow night at 10 PM. In this first clip, we get to witness a therapy session between Hannibal Lecter and FBI profiler Will Graham. Then Hannibal investigates Graham's home "before getting a taste of blood." The rest of the webseries will be released through NBC's Hannibal web page, so check back before watching tomorrow's episode.
