OnePlus 3 Granted Android 7 Nougat Beta

It has been few months that OnePlus is reportedly working on the "Android 7.0 Nougat" Update for its flagship smartphone "OnePlus 3". If speculations are true, it will not be too long for the smartphone to receive 7.0 beta update. 

OnePlus 3 has been subjected of receiving numerous updates since it was launch which makes it imminent that OnePlus 3 will get the 7.0 update soon. The smartphone recently received the Community Build which is a beta version before the smartphone receives its 7.0 Nougat update citing OnePlus 3's security updates. 

Betanews.com excerpted that OnePlus has plans to provide the 7.0 Nougat update to all its OnePlus 3 users by the end of 2016. Android 7.0 Nougat is considered as the most powerful Android version and that not many brands have opted for Nougat yet. To summarize the story, OnePlus 3 users will get their 7.0 Nougat update after the testing period ends with the Community build Beta Nougat which is not available for masses. 

OnePlus 2 users need not worry about the update at all as OnePlus has reportedly stated that it will also unveil the Android update for the predecessors, however, no confirmed dates are available as of now. When asked, OnePlus spokesperson stated "Cannot share a timeline right now", which clearly indicates that OnePlus is working or in the early development phase in order to roll out the android update.

To put things into perspective, Android 6.0 Marshmallow was released a year ago following which OnePlus launched its flagship smartphone "OnePlus 2" with Android 5.0 Lollipop. It was just recently that OnePlus 2 managed to get its Marshmallow update. Whenever an Android version is released, it needs some tweaking and testing before it can be made available for the smartphone. It takes few months to evaluate and then release the update that will support the respective hardware and software configuration. Similar was the case with OnePlus X.

Last Month, Pete Lau - CEO of OnePlus tweeted a short clip of OnePlus 3 smartphone with an "N" logo embedded on it symbolizing Android 7.0 Nougat, as per Gadgets360. Until the official 7.0 Nougat update is released for OnePlus 3, developers and testers will be able to use the Community build 7.0 Nougat beta version.
