'Dragon Ball Super' English Dub Releases January 2017; Meet the English Voice Cast!

Fans of "Dragon Ball Super" may soon hear the characters in English. It was revealed that the release date of the English-dub version of the animated series will be on January 2017. The English-dubbed series will be aired on Toonami, however, US and Canada fans will have to wait longer before they can watch it.

As it turns out, FUNimation, the company that acquired distribution rights for "Dragon Ball Super" is not yet ready to release the series in the US and Canada. iTech Post reports that there has been no official word from the company. They can still watch subbed copies of "Dragon Ball Super" through their streaming website.

There are also DVD and Blu-Ray copies of "Dragon Ball Super" that can be purchased online. Those who opt to go old school may also avail of the original manga series as well.

However, fans from Southeast Asia including India may start watching the English dub of "Dragon Ball Super" starting January 21, 2017. Furthermore, Toonami has released a teaser video of the English dubbed "Dragon Ball Super" while an official trailer is set to be released by December 17, 2016. Toonami's English dub of "Dragon Ball Super" is a historic moment as it is the first International release of the recent series from Japan to the rest of the world.

The teaser clip that Toonami teased is that of the main star of "Dragon Ball Super" Goku, with King Kai in a familiar scene where the Super Saiyan visits the latter to train. Goku intends to take advantage of King Kai's home planet because he gets better exercise there because of the lack of gravity.

According to Comic Book, the English dubbed Goku and King Kai will be voiced by notable voice actor Sean Schemmel.

Other "Dragon Ball Super" English voice cast include Christopher R. Sabat as the voice of Vegeta, Yamcha and Piccolo, Kyle Herbert as Gohan, Monica Rial as Bulma, , Alexis Tipton as Trunks and Kara Edwards as Goten and Videl. There's also Cynthia Cranz as the voice for Chi-Chi, Chris Rager for Mr. Satan, Meredith McCoy as Android 18, Mike McFarland as Roshi, Doc Morgan as the narrator of "Dragon Ball Super" and more.
