Pokémon Sun & Moon sold 3.7 Milion units worldwide, 425,000 copies in France Alone: Nintendo

Pokémon Games are currently dominating the major markets around the world with sales figure breaking every record.

As per a reported published in Siliconera, Pokémon Sun and Moon have clocked 1.5 Million units of sale in Europe alone. Out of the total Pokémon games sold in Europe,Nintendo sold massive 425,000 units in France alone setting a record by Nintendo Games.

The report also added the sales of Pokémon X and Y, predecessor for Pokémon Sun and Moon which sold over 125,000 units in France and the sales of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire reached at all time high of 180,000 units, however, with the recent reports, Pokémon Sun and Moon are surely the record breaker in France.

Polygon revealed that Pokémon Sun and Moon reached 3.7 million copies in just over two weeks which makes it Nintendo's fast selling title in the United States. Nintendo is the maker of Pokémon Sun and Moon and other Pokémon apps and games. The game is compatible with Nintendo 3DS and offers great gaming experience and that is what reflects when the company made a fortune selling 3.7 million copies worldwide.

The sales figure for Pokémon X and Y reveals that it was being outsmarted by Pokémon Sun and Moon by over 4 million units i.e. by 85% in just a week time.

Whenever a New Pokémon games are published, it is seen that they always outsmart its predecessor in terms of sales. In 2013, Nintendo released Pokémon X and Y for which the total units sale reached more than 15 million combined. The Pokémon game was released for Nintendo 3DS and hence since been dominating the handheld consoles. As per estimates mentioned in the report, more than 25 million units were sold of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum combined.

The excitement of new Pokémon Sun and Moon games has magnified exponentially resulting in making the Pokémon game the biggest pre-ordered game in the history of Nintendo. The game was released as pre-release demo across e-shop which spiked the game's popularity.
