Adult Swim has been tight-lipped with the upcoming release date for the third season of their popular adult animated science fiction sitcom "Rick and Morty." However, fans of the series are now settling for a bunch of animated image files termed as GIFS to get a hint about the premiere date for the next season.

Fans have now been drawn to the said GIFS titled as Mr. Poopy Butthole released also by Adult Swim which had been posted courtesy of the "Rick and Morty" Facebook page. The so-called coding system which is said to be secretly embedded in the published GIFS which viewers need to decipher has fortunately been solved, according to a post Reddit.

Reddit user pixel pushing believes he has already cracked the code of the GIFS in order of the date that they were posted on social media:

  • Mr. Poopy Butthole typing his name over and over again.
  • Mr. Poopy Butthole staring at a plane with a backdrop of a cloud.
  • Mr. Poopy Butthole using a vacuum cleaner alongside a cat.
  • Mr. Poopy Butthole and a cactus.
  • Mr. Poopy Butthole knees bent while hiding inside a suitcase.
  • Mr. Poopy and a couch.
  • Mr. Poopy practicing yoga

When viewed separately these GIFS could mean nothing as pixel pushing mentioned in the site, but when viewed by the sum of all the parts they likely let slip an outline that the Redditor read as:

"Repeat name [---?---] [---?---] watch for reveal. Ready, steady..."

Pixel pushing mentioned on the website that this could mean to re-watch the Season 1 episode titled "Raising Gazorpazorp" which is set to be televised on the 18th of December on the Adult Swim channel. Previous reports have suggested that the new season could either debut this year or by 2017.

In related news, Rick and Morty will have a new edition although in another media form. Omni Press will be releasing the comic title "Rick and Morty: Pocket Like You Stole it." This offshoot is written by Tini Howard with the help of Marc Ellerby and Katy Farina, according to Nerdspan.
