The upcoming "Supernatural" Season 12 midseason premiere will tackle the aftermath of Dean and Sam's assassination attempt on the U.S. president, who was possessed by Lucifer.
It will be titled "First Blood," the upcoming midseason premiere will feature the Winchester brothers' imprisoned life after the Feds captured them for attacking the president, as shown in episode 8, according to Yahoo News.
Dean and Sam will be brought to the mysterious facility where the two siblings are imprisoned in separate stone-walled cells. A preview clip posted on Spoiler Guide teased of the said facility's location that appears to be in a middle of a forest. A voice over in the said clip described the prison as a "place that officially doesn't exist."
Meanwhile, fans of Castiel will be in for a treat. Executive producer Andrew Dabb in a recent interview stressed that the concluding half of Season 12 will be Castiel-centric, according to TV Line.
Dabb guaranteed fans that there are "at least three really strong Castiel episodes" that we can look forward to, including a look at "a lost chapter of Castiel's history". Dabb also acknowledged how viewers have come to understand Castiel, played by Misha Collins, adding that he had been established as not only the guy who rescued Dean Winchester, but as someone "watching Earth".
The mid-season finale of "Supernatural" Season 12 showcased both highs and lows for Lucifer. Episode eight titled "Lotus" featured the fallen angel leaving his rock star vessel (Rick Springfield) and possessing the body of the country's president (David Chisum).
Watch the promo for "First Blood" below. The "Supernatural" episode will air on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8 PM EST on The CW. The long-running series recently moved to the 8 PM time slot from 9 PM. According to Yahoo News.
