The British singer and songwriter Adele trended this year with her amazing hit song "Hello." Along with the U.S. election and Brexit, Adele did trend the whole year of 2016.
Reportedly, her hit song was played over 140 million times this year. People have loved her and like her songs as seen in the Comedian's James Corden's late television show, which is available on YouTube.
According to LLE, Adele is one among the most popular topics of the year, which include the Olympics Games in Rio de Janeiro, the U.S. Election, Pokémon Go, the Euro 2016 soccer tournament, the Oscars, and Brexit.
And now, the big news is that Adele and Beyoncé are the two nominees for the Grammy's ceremony 2017. The show's executive producer Ken Ehrlich announced their names who will perform at music's big night in February.
According to Independent, during a roundtable talk for Billboard magazine, Ehrlich was asked on Adele's participation for the Grammy's to which, he responded Very few people say no to the Grammys. Over all of the years, I've been doing the show, there have been three or four acts who've actually said no."
The executive producer was asked to propose two names although he didn't want to do so, he revealed Adele and Beyoncé names to take over the 2017 Grammys. Ehrlich said "We love a good horse race. It's a fine line: We love the competition aspect of it, but it's really more - here's the cliche - the family of music."
"I don't know how many of those three categories they're in together that we'll announce during the telecast, but we'll probably come pretty close. When you can start with that as a foundation for a show, you're in pretty good shape," he added.
