Xiaomi Mi MIX to get Android 7.0 Nougat update soon

Xiaomi might release the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its flagship Mi Mix soon. Google released the update back in August is entering at a rapid speed into the smartphones of the tech market.

As per the post seen on Xiaomi's forum, unknown person has mentioned that the Xiaomi Mi MIX will get the Android 7.0 Nougat ROM update soon. The post includes-

"relatively 'reliable' news that your beloved Mi MIX will be getting Android 7.0 Nougat ROM updates! Mi MIX is the second Mi devices (after Mi 5) to receive Android 7.0 Nougat ROM updates!  And I'm sure everyone will be very excited and looking forward to this new Android ROM updates!"

The Softpedia report mentions that the update will be released first as a beta program to the device. It also adds that the internal testing might have started, but a public version of Android 7.0 Nougat will not be available before 2017.

Android 7.0 Nougat updated Xiaomi Mi Mix will hold the features such as 1,500 emojis, including 72 new ones will be added, along with multi locale language settings, Vulkan API and VR mode, improved Doze mode for even better battery life, personalized settings, smarter notifications, rearranged Quick Setting tiles, and the ability to directly reply to notifications without opening any app.

Phone security based improvements such as file-based encryption, direct boot, and seamless updates, which will allow users to download software updates in the background will be implemented.

Xiaomi Mi MIX measures 158.80 x 81.90 x 7.90 and weighs 209.00 grams.The phone comes with a 6.4 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 X 2040 pixels at a PPI of 362 pixels per inch. 

The phone is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage with no option of expanding via external card. The phone has a 16MP primary camera on the rear and a 5MP front camera.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, Infrared, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G.
