Doing the laundry is far from exciting and selling washing machines, even the high end and heavy duty ones is one tough task. How can marketing teams seriously drum up as much excitement about their products as people would care about the latest apps or the latest versions of smartphones?
Samsung, who is one of the leading innovators in the smartphone industry has decided to take it upon itself to make people excited about doing their laundry by incorporating new tricks for their laundry machines.
To do so, it will allow their customers to use their smartphones to control their laundry machines - in particular, the FlexWash and FlexDry combo, using an app that controls both cycles of the wash and dry via a touch on the users' phone, CNet reported.
This means your phone can serve as a remote for commanding the appliance and at the same time serve as a monitor on the status of your wash.
Of course, the fact that it has a dual washer and dual dryer feature should not be discounted. This proves quite helpful in segregating the loads for your regular clothes and your delicates, making it more convenient and time efficient for users who used to resort to multiple loads tat take up more time and energy, Endgadget reported.
There's also the super speed mode than can trim down the wash cycle to 30 minutes and a foam deep cleaning feature that enables the machine to thoroughly wash heavier items.
No official date for availability has been posted by Samsung as yet but as early as now, interest has already been piqued about this new innovation. No price point has also been released about the laundy machine combo that is expected to become a hot item once it reaches the market.
The Samsung Smart Home app, which can be used to control the appliance can be downloaded for Android and iPhone.
