The highly anticipated open world (or open air as Nintendo calls it) action-adventure video game, "Zelda: Breath of the Wild," still has no set release date yet. The game, developed by Nintendo, indicated that the game will probably not make it in time for the launch of Nintendo Switch, their newest upcoming console and it has been frustrating for the fans. But a Reddit thread suggest that the release might be close, really close.
According to The USB Port, a Reddit thread from December 30, 2016 surfaced with a photo from a UK GAME store. The picture apparently had the release date for the Switch console and the new Zelda game for March 2017.
Regardless of Nintendo saying that the Switch and 'Breath of The Wild' won't be released at the same time, fans all over the gaming community still hope that they would be released simultaneously, since the console will need a strong line-up of games and Zelda would be perfect for that role.
Also, IGN's report saying that Target's online store selling the WII U version of BOTW will release on June 13, gives weight to Nintendo's statement that the game will not be released simultaneously with the Switch but instead a new Mario game.
On the other hand, Nintendo has revealed a new opponent, and they called it the Guardian. The Guardian will be the main adversary in Breath of The Wild, a picture of it surfaced on Nintendo's official Facebook page. They are giant mechanical creatures that the game's main protagonist, Link, would find sleeping on temples and shrines.
They look very close combat-oriented and features three different types of swords in each hand. A second picture shows Link wearing the Champion's clothes battling this Guardian and suggests that this enemy would appear somewhere in the middle of the game.
