LA Clippers end six-game losing skid, send Suns defeat 109-98

The Los Angeles Clippers did quite a defensive lockdown to beat the Phoenix Suns 109-98 and end their six-game drought.

J.J. Reddick led the way for the Clippers with 22 points on Monday night with help from Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton respectively. The Clippers have lost their last six games after losing star players Chris Paul and Blake Griffin to injury, Associated Press reported.

The Clippers' coach Doc Rivers said that winning without their two star players were a test for the team. He went to say that after losing two of his starters, the team had to find a way to get their offense going.

During the post-game interview, Rivers said, "We're a great team, we know that - we went through a tough stretch, so what?" He went to say that the team is ready to move on from their losses to find a fix.

"Let's get through it, learn from it, and get better. We don't need to be heavy thinkers, overthink things, walk around depressed ... We just have to get through it. We lost six in a row; I'm over that. ... Let's fix it," he said.

The Clippers controlled the game with a 19-point lead in the third quarter that dwindled to 6 points before the Suns succumbed to a series of errors, and missed opportunities. Reddick who is reportedly playing over a sore left hamstring picked up the slack in scoring with 9-over-14 shooting while Crawford bounced back after going scoreless in the team's loss to the Thunder and stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, 7 rebounds and five assists, LA Times reported.

T.J Warren led the Suns with 24 points while former Clipper Eric Bledsoe added 22. Suns coach Earl Watson tipped his hat to the Clippers and blamed the team's defense for the loss.
