On Wednesday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Ellen welcomed "Saturday Night Live" case member Kate McKinnon to the show. This of course seems like a normal talk show thing to do considering there is a new episode of "SNL" coming up, but this interview was a little different. McKinnon, who is an accomplished impressionist and stand up comedian, pretty much made a career out of doing an impression of Ellen. Now the talk show host had reportedly never seen this impression, so she asked McKinnon to do it as they closed out the show!

The 29-year-old comedienne was on cloud 9 when Ellen gave her some clothes to change into in order to do her impersonation that has basically made her career. Kate does a great job and even gets Ellen into the act. Watch the clip below and enjoy some great dance moves from two Ellen DeGenereses:

Though the impersonation closed the show, during her interview McKinnon could not help but jump in and out of it despite not being in costume. Wearing a lovely blue dress, Kate kept stretching her body as she does when portraying the television personality. What is even more interesting is the fact that McKinnon was visibly struggling to get through the interview without crying. She was so excited to meet whom she considers to be a hero and role model. "I've met Jesus," the overjoyed "SNL" actress said, trying to explain her excitement. Ellen asked Kate about her "Saturday Night Live" audition as well.

This was McKinnon's first talk show appearance, too!

Here is a video clip of McKinnon's "Ellen DeGeneres Show" interview segment:

After the show, Kate (still dressed as Ellen) got to meet Portia de Rossi:
