The 'How I Met Your Mother´ star have a new role as "Olef" on Netflix series. Neil Patrick Harris shared his experience about the face time moments during set breaks with his own kids, so the hilarious reaction that the actor didn't miss the chance to make some interesting comments about it.
Patrick Harris is currently playing the lead role of the 2004 movie 'Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events´ as count Olef now a remake series, aired on Netflix. The long shootings in Vancouver and time zones differences make hard the communication with Neil and the toddlers. For that reason these two must get used to facetiming with count Olef, daily.
The actor told the Press Association that on sets he doesn't look anything like him and that was weird. The children couldn't recognize him either. The star explained that it was difficult not to keep in character when talking to them. Since he accepted the role have the habit to remain as Olef even between shootings, according to Uk news yahoo.
Patrick shares, "When I hear stories about pretentious actors who stay in character the whole time, I throw up in my mouth, but as Olaf i would do that and I had all that make-up on".
Neil added that in some moments he started talking with Olef's characteristic voice which was funny and the kids hated it he said, so the kids, "'Stop it! Poppa, talk like a normal person!'.", said the his own children's, shares Independent.ie News.
Even the actor said that he looked "like a hot mess" with the wigs, latex, make up, no hair and a barely beard for some of the episodes, explain the same source.
For the Patrick, the Netflix's adaptation is different and offers more interesting layers of Olef's role so the basic story. The actor has seen the "missed parts" from the original relates, so he adds his own touch to it.
In Neil words, "I will watch stuff that people do and say that is the perfect choice, I'm not going to not do that choice to just be different, that's dumb, but at the same time I watch things and say 'Oh that was a missed opportunity', and try to refine it."
