Apple iPhone 8 is surely going to be one of the most impressive Apple smartphones till date, if the latest rumours are to be believed.

According to the stream of leaks, the iPhone 8 will be having a glass panels on the front and rear of the device, and a slight curve to the borderless OLED display.

According to new hints coming from Energous during the CES technology expo in Las Vegas iPhone 8 will sport next-generation wireless charging technology.

What makes the iPhone 8 wireless charging more credible is an interview that The Verge has conducted with Energous CEO Steve Rizzone. The rollout of Energous' wireless charging technology has been highly expected for a couple of years, but it is not quite ready yet.

Before to the start of Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year in Las Vegas, Energous CEO Steve Rizzone has told The Verge that its wireless charging transmitters are set to start shipping by the end of 2017.

This is expected about two years later than expected as Energous has said something similar when they attended CES in 2015. But question rises why the delay? Actually, Energous' plan has changed once a "key strategic partnership" was signed one month after CES 2015.

According to Express, Apple is also likely to drop its iconic Home Button, burying the fingerprint sensor technology beneath the glass display instead. Now more clues have also emerged that Apple is planning to include cutting-edge wireless charging technology into its next smartphone.

Unlike rival devices from Google, Samsung, HTC, and Huawei that predominantly use the Qi open interface standard to power their inductive charging the technology implemented by Apple sounds like a much better solution.

Devices which are using the Qi standard, like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, are only capable of wireless charging over distances of up to four centimetres 1.6 inches.

Unlike the Qi charging pads, which are used for phones like the Galaxy S7 Edge, WattUp will continue to charge your phone while it is in motion, and as long as it never moves further than four metres away from the transmitter, of course.
