Jimmy Kimmel gave a toast at the TIME 100 Gala, which honored the 100 most influential people as named by the magazine. The "Jimmy Kimmel Live" host was among those honored and he took some time to toast his fellow honorees. He joked a lot during his speech but the most surprising part was that after each toast he would chug whatever alcoholic beverage Jimmy Fallon would hand him.

As Kimmel started his speech, he opened with a joke about the Yahoo! CEO's ban on working from home. "You know I live in Los Angeles, I wasn't planning to be here tonight, but Marissa Mayer said I had to come in," Kimmel said, and then paused. "And she's very influential."

"By the way, are we really that influential? I've been sitting here thinking about it and the truth is TIME tricked us into coming here so we can have dinner with the people who buy ads in their magazine," the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" host joked. "During the Knicks game, too, by the way. Can we get that up on the screens?"

"There's a group of people, some of who are represented here tonight, who I believe are even more important than the politicians, the astronauts, the activists, humanitarians, and maybe even more important than the doctors who are working on a cure for cancer and HIV," Kimmel said, setting up the follow up: "And that is comedians."

He then gets into his toasts for his fellow honorees in the comedy field. "People like Lena Dunham," he said, calling her "the kid genius ... who taught me not to be ashamed of my own breasts."

To that he drank a whole glass of wine to toast her.

He then talked about "Egypt's Jon Stewart," Bassem Youseff, saying, "This is a man who risks his life to bring laughter to his country." Kimmel then added, "I would just move."

Again, he downs another drink handed to him by Jimmy Fallon.

He moves onto his soon-to-be late night talk show rival Fallon, saying that the former "SNL" cast member is forces him to perform better. "Quite frankly, it's a pain in the ass." Kimmel added. "I'd appreciate it if you'd slow down a little. But I love him, and I want to toast my future rival, Jimmy Fallon, who's getting me very, very drunk."

After another drink Kimmel then toasts Vice President Joe Biden, calling him the funniest person in the room. "Remember that time he told everyone the president supported gay marriage before the president had a chance to? That was hilarious," Kimmel joked. "See, that's influential."

He takes another drink and then gives a general toast to all of the honorees. This time Fallon joins him for a alcohol chug.

So if you were counting, that is 5 drinks chugged by Jimmy Kimmel in this 4-minute clip.
