The ninety's series Charmed reboot is confirmed. CW network already signed to record the upcoming season with "Jane the Virgin" producers. All says the original cast won't be in the remake but anything is official yet, only social media congratulation comments.
The new production will be run by Jennie Urman and writing duo Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardinand and collaboration team. Urman is known to produce famous tv shows like "Jane The Virgen" now "Charmed" first season after ten years the program ended in 2006.
A total eight seasons show aired on Warner Brother's until 2006 and starred by Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty like the original cast and later Rose McGowan like part of the "Haliwell" sisters. The series took the channel rate up back in the days, with an original production by Aaron Spelling, explain Stuff News NZ .
Apparently the new remake won't be based only on last show sets of stories, but also will incorporates elements of the 1976 original, according to Who News AU.
In 2013 CBS channel did the first announcement of this "comeback" moment of Charmed two, but after so long of waiting probably the audience passed it. But surely people remember is the casts reaction to the big news.
Alyssa Milano formal actress from the original cast, took twitter to make some statements. Milano explained showing a discomfort tone of the network producers idea, "The thing about them doing a charmed reboot is... it just... it feels like yesterday. It feels too close".
And almost four years later the actress changed her feels about the show, saying, "Charmed fans! There are no fans like you. You're the best of the best".
The actress added as well a through back moment pic on Instagram about her like Phoebe, next to actor Billy Zane, back in the days.
Maybe Milano will be in it, and four years were enough to do not feel "too close" about a reboot of Charmed.
The network plans to make this year many reboots shows. Charmed is not the first and only one on the agenda. The channel is now developing a reboot of "The Lost Boys" and a series based on "The Notebook" movie, so other new series debut like about the film "Frequency", shares Variety News.
Hopefully Charmed would be a hit again like it was on the first release.
