The much awaited 74th edition of the prestigious film awards Golden Globe Awards 2017 was hosted brilliantly by Jimmy Fallon on Sunday night. The first award show of the season honored the best in film and American television of 2016.
Damien Chazelle's La La Land lead the charge of the major award night with seven nominations in total including best picture (musical or comedy), best actor (musical or comedy) for Ryan Gosling and best actress (musical or comedy) for Emma Stone, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The television nominations were led by Ryan Murphy's The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story with five nominations, including nods for Best Miniseries or Television Film, Best Actress in a Mini-Series or TV Movie for Sarah Paulson and Best Actor in a Mini-Series or TV Movie for Courtney B. Vance. The others on the TV nominations list were The Crown, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and Blackish, reported Vanity Fair.
This year's red carpet was graced by none other than Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, Blake Lively, Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, Mandy Moore, Andy Adams, Viola Davis, Claire Foy, Reese Witherspoon and many more fashionistas.
