"Star Wars Episode 8" release is still months away, however, the internet is flooded with a lot of spoilers even now. Most of these reports talk about Rey's parentage, the role of Luke Skywalker in the movie and what role Leader Snoke and Kylo Ren would end up playing in the movie.
One of the latest "Star Wars Episode 8" spoilers suggest that the movie would talk about the relationship between Luke Skywalker and Rey. A report published USA Today claims that the movie would begin from the Rey-Luke cliffhanger, and that there will be no time gap between the upcoming movie and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
The publication based its report on an interview conducted with "Star Wars Episode 8" writer-director Rian Johnson. He confirmed that the movie will start from the epic Luke Skywalker-Rey cliffhanger, exactly from the scene where "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ended.
The director revealed that he will not skip the story to two years ahead. Instead. He would just focus on what happens at that particular moment, when Rey finally gets to see Luke Skywalker at top of a hill on a completely different planet.
Johnson further revealed that the Rey-Luke Skywalker connection will be the primary essence of the movie and it will be the key connection around which the entire plot of the movie would revolve.
The writer also said that a majority of the movie would focus on why Luke Skywalker is still there and what he is ought to do next. Meanwhile, Rey will be pulled into the big world of the Force by Luke Skywalker.
According to Johnson, Rey will face a long time realizing that she is actually strong with the Force. It will initially be difficult for her to realize it, but she will eventually come in terms with reality and her true powers will unleash eventually.
