The good news just keeps on coming for French electronic duo Daft Punk. The band, consisting of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, are releasing their new album Random Access Memories May 20, their first studio album since 2005's Human After All. Despite their album not even being released yet, their single "Get Lucky" is already breaking records. "Get Lucky" is already on pace to become the highest selling single of 2013.

To say the album is highly anticipated would be an understatement. Daft Punk have slowly revealed bits and pieces of "Get Lucky" and their new album through video teases on "Saturday Night Live" and at Coachella. In addition, the list of guest stars has been widely acclaimed. Chic's Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams have already been featured on "Get Lucky," while Julian Casablancas, Todd Edwards, Panda Bear, and Chilly Gonzales are also featured on the new album.

According to Entertainment Wise, Daft Punk has already beaten their previous fastest selling single, 2000's "One More Time." Daft Punk's single "Get Lucky" is on pace to become next week's number one single and according to the Official Charts Company, their single has shifted more than 100,000 units in a little over a week.

So what's next for Daft Punk? Well they still have to release their album, which hasn't even hit the shelves yet. If their single is any indication, Random Access Memories could be well on its way to breaking records as well. Are we looking at 2013's hottest album?

It sounds like all of Daft Punk's success is rubbing off on other people invovled with their latest work as well. Italian producer, Giorgio Moroder, who collaborated with Daft Punk on Random Access Memories recently said that "everybody" wants to work with him now. "Since the publicity of the Daft Punk song, which is not even out yet, it's like everybody wants me now," said Moroder via NME. Moroder is collaborates with Daft Punk on the track "Giorgio By Moroder" off of Random Access Memories.
