In the past seasons, The Walking Dead's Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) has undergone one of the biggest evolutions among any character on television history from a timid housewife, to a disillusioned survivor and later as one of the toughest lieutenants and confidantes in Rick's army. While her comic book counterpart has already bitten the dust before the current storyline, it seems that AMC has more planned for the character now that she has become a fan favorite.
According to ComicBook, the show may be adjusting the storylines from the book and giving Michonne's arc to Carol.
Based on the comic book, it was Michonne who would develop a kinship and romantic relationship with King Ezekiel but in the series, it is noticeable that Michonne ignited a romantic relationship with Rick and it is Carol who now shares a bond with The Kingdom's leader.
The report hinted that if Michonne's storyline was to be followed for Carol's character, Carol would play an important role in the war that Alexandria, The Hillptop Colony and The Kingdom as they wage against Negan's Sanctuary.
If Carol continues to borrow Michonne's storyline, she is expected to survive the war and live a secluded life away from all the conflict and the problems.
Meanwhile, fans of the show remain apprehensive as to whether Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl in the show will still be able to do the series since he is set to enroll for university.
Riggs said that he is thinking of picking up two regular classes along with online classes so that he can still continue to do the show and still have a normal experience like regular students, Mirror reported.
"Theoretically, I could take one or two classes on campus and maybe an online class.... It wouldn't be easy, but I think that could be possible," he said.
Carl is incidentally still alive in the last volume of the comic book.
