‘The Last of Us 2’ : Ellie’s Sexuality, New Love Interest & Haunting Joel Update

"The Last of Us 2" teaser shows that its lead character is in a determined yet angry mood. So it is but natural to assume that revenge is around the corner. However, apart from the action-filled sequences, there will be some spots where the gamers will find Naughty Dog exploring the sexuality of Ellie.

The first game of the franchise was great. However, when the game developer released the DLC of "The Last of Us"  it revealed that Ellie had soft feelings for none other than her best friend Riley. It indicated that Ellie is gay. Now that the sequel to the game is going to come out, fans are expecting that it will carry some information related to the sexuality of the lead character.

And according to sources, "The Last of Us 2" will indeed throw light on the sexuality of Ellie. The previous game written by Neil Druckmann showed that both Ellie and Riley are infected. A situation comes when either the two should shoot each other or spend time together.

Instead the two shares a kiss of which later on Ellie feels guilty. However, Riley says that there is nothing to be sorry about, reports International Business Times

While talking about Ellie, Druckmann said that he always wrote about Ellie thinking that she was a gay character and her hook up with Riley was not just a whim. Even then, it is not yet clear whether "The Last of Us 2" will show the sexuality aspect of Ellie.

On the other hand, the trailer that released during PlayStation Experience suggests that a new LGBT character may play a love interest for Ellie, reports Mobile & Apps. According to the latest theory, Ellie is now focused on taking revenge on the Fireflies. And one person from this group will serve as her love interest.

Another possible theory says that Joel is already dead and he will continue to haunt Ellie all through "The Last of Us 2" with his symbolic entries.
