‘Outlander’ Season 3 Cast News: Jamie (Sam Heughan) Wants To Play A Role In 'Doctor Who'

The "Outlander" lead actor 'Sam Heughan' posted an unpredictable tweet to his fans, through his official twitter account. Recently, the network announced that they will film the upcoming third season in April, and 'Jamie Fraser' (Heughan) is accepting more roles to play in the mid time, via Twitter, probably the next character will be on a BBC show.

Sam Heughan responds on twitter to a fan comment, about taking a role in 'Doctor Who' series, which he gave a hilarious reply.  The actor agreed to this fan proposal, and said, according to his official twitter account, "I'd vote for that", with the 'Doctor Who' role. Probably Heughan wanted to publicly express his desire to be on that show someday.

Many fans insisted the actor play other roles, so this is not the first time Heughan received this sort of request.  Some of them pointed out, he should play the next James Bond character, since recent rumors that Daniel Craig will be replaced. The 'Outlander' star is one of the most popular English actors nowadays in Hollywood, so the fan wishes can become a reality.

Starz network is already on board casting new actors for the third season of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander book 'Voyager'. The exec explained that is necessary to bring more actors, especially to play the 'Dunsany sisters' and the adult version of Fergus (twenty years later).

The show will cast, for the Dunsany sisters are Hannah James as Geneva Dunsany, Tanya Reynolds as Isobel Dunsany, Lauren Lyle as Marsali and César Domboy as an adult Fergus.

Sam Heughan teased the fans with some third season highlights to see in 'Outlander' next episodes. During the interview, the actor talked about the upcoming events on the show, so what book fanatics should know before the premiere, the actor said, "I think there is going to be stuff in there that the fans will recognize since we put in as much detail as possible, but there are some really incredible moments", relate Pop Sugar News.

'Outlander' fans for sure will be delighted to see more of Sam Heughan (Jamie) on the small screen, before the third season premiere this year.
