‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Spoilers: Miss Mystic Falls Photos; Damon-Elena Flashbacks!

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will air its Episode 9, "The Simple Intimacy of the Near Touch," today. Sybil is trying to get under Damon's skin by making him recall Elena during the Miss Mystic Falls pageant in Season 1. Damon and Elena's relationships will get a lot of flashbacks in the next episode.

The Miss Mystic Falls pageant holds a special place in the fans' hearts. It was a special event for Damon and Elena, who both realized how they felt for each other. As Ripper Stefan (Paul Wesley) says in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 9 trailer, "This place was the beginning of their vomit-inducing love story," cue: flashbacks of Damon and Elena's dance.

Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) learns about this and tries to cause trouble. In the episode photos revealed, she wears a blue gown and descends the stairs in a style reminiscent to Elena's scene in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 1. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) himself has flashbacks of Elena in the dressing room before Sybil snaps at him to "get a grip".

Back in Season 1, Stefan, too was drenched in his darkness. It's same as "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Really, the only one missing to re-create the first Miss Mystic Falls episode is Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). Hollywood Life tells fans that the actress didn't give a hint about her return to the paranormal show on The CW.

She appeared on AOL Build and said that she was not allowed to talk about it. This clearly means that she's still in contact with the producers of the show. Fans are hoping for Dobrev's return so that she could appear in even just one episode to create a "Delena" happy ending.

Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) return to Mystic Falls after their romantic trip to Paris, France. Like when Damon gave Elena a necklace, Enzo gives Bonnie a pendant in the form of a vial of his blood. This heavily suggests that Bonnie is open to the idea of becoming a vampire so she could spend eternity with Enzo.

Another possibility could have something to do with what Producer Julie Plec has been saying in past interviews. She hinted that there will be a terrible death in the last season. Of course, fans are wondering if they will have to say good-bye to a Salvatore brother, but there's a chance it could be Bonnie. If Bonnie does die, this will break Kai's curse and Elena can finally awaken from her sleep-like trance. In a way, Bonnie becoming a vampire would mean her death as a human.

According to TV Fanatic, new "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 9 photos have been released. In anticipation of the coming episode, fans cana see photos of Caroline (Candice King) finally seeing and talking to Ripper Stefan. Damon warns her that Stefan has gone off the deep end. It remains to be seen what Caroline will do to bring her fiancé back.

In the same episode, fans will get to see Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) fighting for his town. Seline (Kristen Gutoskie), who stole the historical bell from Caroline and Sybil, is seen in a photo with Dorian (Demetrius Bridges), hinting at a possible alliance. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 9 will air tonight at 8 PM on The CW.
