Smartphone enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the upcoming Xiaomi Mi6. After last year's hit, Xiaomi Mi5, the next flagship is expected to reclaim the success of its predecessor. According to a recent report, Xiaomi is likely to launch its most anticipated flagship on March, although the trial production is set to begin in February.
The China-based company has not yet made any official announcement regarding the release date. However, Xiaomi will probably unveil Mi6 at Mobile World Congress 2017 that will take place in Barcelona and begin on February, 27.
Xiaomi Mi6 Will Most Likely Come In Three Versions
Xiaomi Mi6 will make its debut with three variants: Lite, Standard, and Pro. The Lite version will be powered by MediaTek Helio X30 deca-core processor. Meanwhile, the Standard and Pro versions will feature 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor. The pro version, however, will look way stand-out with its dual-curved-edge OLED display. It's quite surprising to see the fact that we might have a curved phone with a medium budget.
In addition, the three variants will have 4000 mAh battery along with Wireless Charging feature, 23 MP rear camera, and 7 MP selfie camera. As per RAM and storage, Lite and Standard variants are likely to feature 4GB RAM/64 GB storage, and 4GB RAM/128GB storage respectively. Mi6 Pro is rumored to have 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also debunked another rumor saying that Mi6 Pro will have MicroSD support since the internal storage is already quite large.
The smartphone's exterior is said to have a full-metal body with premium finish for Lite and Standard version, while Pro might have a ceramic body like we probably have seen in Mi Mix flagship. The outer look will appear more appealing with a touch of glass on the rear side. The screen will also be protected by Gorilla Glass 4 to make it shock and dust proof.
Xiaomi Mi6 Price Prediction
Xiaomi has already made its fame with the so-called budget smartphone. For the upcoming flagship, Xiaomi might be securing its place in this category.
The Mi6 Lite will probably be sold for $290 USD (CNY 1,999). Meanwhile, Standard and Pro version will have a slightly higher price. The Standard version most likely offers $360 USD (CNY 2,499) deal, while the Pro version will bump its price to $434 USD (CNY 2,999).
