Emilia Clarke Reveals Dark, Seductive Side In Upcoming Horror Movie 'Voice from the Stone'

Emilia Clarke from the hit HBO TV series "Game of Thrones" will be starring in a horror film, "Voice from the Stone" set to be released in select theaters on April 28, 2017. The studio just released several photos of the film and it's a chilling departure from Clarke's empowering Daenerys Targaryen from her fantasy series.

In "Voice from the Stone", Clarke plays Verena, a young nurse who arrives at an isolated castle in Tuscany to take care of the heir. It's far from her role as Louisa Clark in "Me Before You", where she takes care of Will Traynor (Sam Claflin). In this supernatural and psychological thriller, Verena takes care of Jakob (Edward Dring), who has been traumatized by his mother's death.

While dealing with her charge, Verena encounters several paranormal events. She later on believes that Jakob is being possessed by an otherworldly force inside the villa and it's slowly blurring the lines between what she thinks is real.

Gothic horror stays alive in the "Voice from the Stone" film

"Voice from the Stone" is set in 1950 Tuscany and reveals a gothic and chilling setting. According to Entertainment Tonight, the film will feature music from Evanescence's own Amy Lee, which lends the movie a more eerie atmosphere. It started as an independent film that got picked up by Momentum Pictures.

Another thing to watch out for in the film is 30-year-old Emilia Clarke's seductive side as Verena. It can be seen that Verena arrives at the castle completely covered, with a long coat, sweater, and a knee-length skirt, with her hair in a bun. Other photos start to show her in strikingly colorful clothes, looking more and more like the woman in the photograph, which she spots in a room when she first arrives at the castle.

Clearly there is going to be some gothic horror and psychological thrills in "Voice from the Stone". Since the movie will only be released in a few theaters, fans can watch it through VOD and digital HD on April 28, 2017. Get a first look at the new horror film in the video below.
