Microsoft Surface Book 2 Release: Leaked Info, Upgraded Battery, Processing Power, Display

Microsoft Surface brand has been exclusively popular and competitive in the market. Microsoft Surface Book, Surface Studio and Surface Pro 4 successfully passed consumer standards and worldwide acceptance. Surface Book was released in October 2015 with innovative design and incredible updates.

Microsoft Surface Book is powered by 6th generation core i5 intel processor, 8GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, 13.8" PixelSense touch screen display, Stylus pen and updated Windows 10. Surface Book was named as 'the Ultimate Laptop' by Microsoft referring to its dual function capabilities. It is usable as a tablet and as a laptop if fixed with default keypad.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 is a sequel of Surface Book which is expected for official release in Spring this year. The device price might be around US$ 1499. Windows launched Surface Book i7 in its Windows 10 event. It was a sequel of Surface Book some way with double capacity to handle graphics load due to new upgraded processor. This deal points to the early release of Surface Book 2.

Tech Radar reported that display size most probably be maintained in the new Surface Book 2. Display features are expected to be enhanced with 4k resolution of 3840x2160 pixels addition. The Intel's Kaby Lake architecture's upgraded capability of 3D graphics and 4K resolution support the rumors about the Surface Book 2 display specifications.

Intel's new Kaby Lake architecture processor is the best guess for new Surface Book 2 which will provide battery saving due to 95 watts thermal envelop. This processor is also capable of providing multi-tasking to the device with less power consumption. Power requirement would further drop to 50W if GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card is installed. A VR ready feature would be a big plus in the device granting it an edge over its competitors.

Surface Book 2 can be expected for an early release in the first quarter of 2017. Numerous devices from Microsoft expected in the near future may be coincided with the launch of the updated version of Windows 10.
