"Red Dead Redemption 2" is currently one of the most awaited sequels. Consequently, with the sequel's release, Rockstar Games will reduce the frequency of updates for its other popular game, "GTA 5." Its release date is not yet confirmed. However, varying sources have been reporting different dates making it a bit confusing. However, even then, fans may see the sequel released during the autumn of 2017.
Taking that into consideration, October seems to be the perfect month of its release. Moreover, the timing would be perfect as it is the holiday period. However, for the fans of "GTA 5," launch of RDR2 can come as a bad news. The game is one of the most successful multiplayer franchises from Rockstar available currently on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
Express says that with the launch of "Red Dead Redemption 2" the new online updates on "GTA 5" will slow down for all the consoles. Although the team is not going to abandon the game this year, it may not release any DLC's for "GTA 5" this year.
For the Nintendo Switch users as well, there is a bad news. The action-packed sequel will not be available on Nintendo, reports Mic Network. According to the game analyst, Michael Pachter, the chances of RDR2 coming on Nintendo are very poor.
Interestingly, Rockstar Games announced the sequel at the same time when Nintendo announced the streaming of its Switch console. So far the game developer has published only two games on Nintendo. So, chances are that the game developer may not think of releasing "Red Dead Redemption 2" on any other console apart from Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
Moreover, Switch is said to be much less powerful than the other consoles and hence RDR2 may not stream smoothly on it. So those who are eager to get their hands on the upcoming sequel must ensure accessibility to the other popular consoles.
