The media was in a frenzy when Kim Kardashian West reported that she was victim of an armed robbery while in Paris, France. The alleged mastermind has spoken up about the issue and has recently revealed that all of the jewelry stolen from the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star have been melted.
French outlet Le Monde has obtained a police testimony that Aomar Ait Khedache delivered. Khedache revealed in his confession that the group of robbers decided to melt everything down into metal bars. However, one $4 billion sparkler that they took from Kim Kardashian West remains unharmed. "There is one person who has it. Everyone was afraid to sell because it's a stone that's very easily spotted," Khedace confessed to the authorities.
The said sparkler is the 20-carat engagement ring that Kim Kardashian West has plastered all over social media. It is unclear who exactly took the engagement ring. However, the rest of Kardashian's jewelries were sold in Antwerp, Belgium. Antwerp is famous for being a diamond buying-and-selling hotspot.
PEOPLE reports that the Le Monde's published story appears to have been obtained from interrogations that took place before the alleged robbery mastermind was charged. For Khedache, the international attention that his team gained after the robbery was a surprise to them. He referred to the Kim Kardashian West robbery as a "very simple affair."
The jewelry that were stolen and melted down, according to Khedache, was around 28,000 euros. The amount is approximately $30,000. It has yet to be revealed if the amount Khedache gave in his confession is true. Kim Kardashian West also has yet to comment on the recently released confession of the robbery's mastermind.
According to Page Six, the infamous Kim Kardashian West robbery took place on October 2. The reality star was alone in her pad in Paris at that time. Two masked gunmen who pretended to be policemen bound her. Kardashian was also gagged and was asked to hand over all of her jewelry.
