England based Formula One car race team and Formula One developer Mclaren is the most successful team in the formula one car race history. Mclaren is competing in the market as Mclaren Honda. Leaked images show Mclaren's new 720S, supercar of 2018 with deserving design and aggressive features.
Charming angles of the Mclaren supercar from all sides make it really a next generation modern car. Official code named P14 and known as Mclaren 720S is currently under development. 720S will replace the existing 650S.
Mclaren has decided to spend Billions of dollars in the newly chalked out business plan including 15 new products worth 1 Billion US$ by 2022.
Mclaren 720S is powered by twin-turbo 3.8 liter V-8 engine that can produce up to 720 metric Horsepower that equals 710 horsepower in the United States. There are speculations that a new twin-turbo 4 liter V8 is being specially developed for 720S, reports topspeed.
The new engine will work with new Modular Hybrid System. The car is energized with Carbon fiber monocoque dubbed mono-cage 2. Passenger cell makes it lighter than the previous model with more torsional rigidity.
720S is equipped with advanced aerodynamics systems which increase its aerodynamic efficiency by 15%. The feature will give 50 percent more downforce to 720S as compared to its predecessor 650S, reports autoguide.
Although the leaked images of 720S (P14) are do not disclose full specifications of the Mclaren supercar but it can be predicted that the car is going for official debut in the 2017 Geneva motor show. Geneva motor show is expected in the second week of March this year.
The new 720S can achieve a speed of 100 km/hour in just 2.7 seconds as compared to its predecessor 675 LT with 710 horse power of engine thrust.
There have been enormous improvements in the engine and control systems of 720S. Driver's safety is given a new advance touch with more balanced mechanics and enhanced breaks. Hydraulics and fuel consumption will have a technological edge.
Reportedly, 720S is only 1283 KGs which is 18 KGs less than its predecessor 650S. Leaked images show inspiring windscreen of advanced C-style. Mclaren's super series may continue with this type C-style windscreens.
