"Stranger Things" Season 2 is coming soon with more twists and revelations. The show's creators and producers hinted that there will be new cast members for the show's second run on Netflix. The heroes will face more dangers as things start to heat up after their temporary happy ending in Season 1.

Entertainment Tonight spoke with the "Stranger Things" creators Matt and Ross Duffer and producers Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen. The bigwigs announced that there will be new characters coming to Hawkins, Indiana. Sean Astin (Sam from "Lord of the Rings") is cast as Bob Newby and Paul Reiser as an as-of-yet-unnamed character.

The producers revealed that Bob will be Joyce Byers' (Winona Ryder) boyfriend. Although they didn't say much about the importance of his character, they did say that Astin's performance was very impressive and that it would surprise the fans as well.

The showrunners had wanted to get Reiser on board for a long time that they just named the character "Paul Reiser". Obviously he's going to get a new name now that the "Aliens" actor has joined the "Stranger Things" Season 2 cast primarily because his kid loved the show.

Not much was revealed about the second season's plot, but Screen Rant analyzed the episode titles to gleam something from the next storyline. The publication expressed that "Stranger Things" Season 2 could explore the Upside Down a bit more, specifically how it changed and affected Will during his week-long stay there.

The thrills and chills will also ramp up in the next season since early episodes will fall on Halloween in the show's timeline. There are going to be more revelations about Eleven's powers and the TV series' MKUltra project. "Stranger Things" Season 2 will be even stranger and fans can't wait for its return in the summer of 2017.
