Nicki Minaj House Burglary: ‘Starship’ Rapper Lost $175,000 Jewelry; Mansion Was Vandalized

Nicki Minaj is having an unfortunate event to start off 2017. The rapper's 11,500 square. feet mansion was burglarized, and of course, some valuable items have been stolen, including $175,000 worth of jewelry. The mansion was also left trashed, and vandalized on the inside with articles of furniture destroyed.

Some of Minaj's personal belongings, from picture frames to perfume bottles, were left scattered, and the burglar even cut up Nicki's clothing. The fact that the suspects destroyed a number of Minaj's personal items leads people to wonder if this burglary is initiated by personal matters.

Los Angeles Police Department, as reported by Billboard, confirmed that some rapper's valuable items were reportedly stolen. There was also some evidence that points out forced entry in multiple areas around the house. Some sources also claimed that the burglary suspects might have targeted something in particular by the aftermath look in the crime scene. The burglary may take place sometime between November 24, 2016, and January 2017.

Fortunately, Nicki Minaj was out of town when the house burglary took place, so fans can rest assured that the "Black Barbie" songstress is unharmed; although she might have experienced a tremendous shock upon finding her mansion was raided. According to Minaj's Instagram post, the rapper was hanging out with her buddies, Drake, and Lil Wayne, at the time of the apparent burglary. According to TMZ, the police are still investigating the crime scene and reportedly searching for any surveillance videos in order to find out whoever has done this crime.

Nicki Minaj is probably not happy with what 2017 has brought her. In January, Minaj posted on Twitter to confirm that she and her two-year-boyfriend, Meek Mill, are no longer a thing. "To confirm, yes, I'm single," tweeted the rapper as she continued to tweet that she will be focusing on her new projects. Due to the break-up event that happened no longer before the burglary takes place, some fans have been jokingly predicting that the burglary is indeed personal and initiated by Meek Mill who probably took the break-up pretty hard. Whatever it is, let's hope the police to catch the culprits really soon.
