Galaxy TabPro S was Samsung's powerhouse convertible launched in 2016. The tablet received a warm reception and was one of the best performing tablets rivaling Apple iPad Pro and Microsoft's Surface 4. The tablet's successor has now been leaked via Bluetooth certification on the Bluetooth SIG website.
The new Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2 with model number SM-W727V has received Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi certification from Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) and Wi-Fi Alliance respectively. The tablet is expected to come with an AMOLED panel which is superior the conventional LED and LCD screens used in laptop's and tablets, reports HardOCP.
The Galaxy TabPro S2 is the Wi-Fi only model as suggested by the listing on the Bluetooth SIG website. However, an LTE variant will be also be launched in the future. Overall, the company is expected to launch the four versions of the Galaxy TabPro S2: SM-W728, SM-W727, SM-W723 and SM-W720, as reported by DigitalTrends.
These model numbers differentiate the Galaxy TabPro S2 on the capabilities such as operating system and wireless connectivity. Samsung will launch these tablets with Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro Editions depending upon the region. It can also be noted that model number SM-W727 listed on Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG website has a "V" at the end. This could mean that the device will be compatible with Verizon's cellular network.
The hardware details for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2 are still not available. There are speculations that it will have the same 12-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2160x1440 pixel resolution. The Galaxy TabPro S2 is also expected to come with the latest 7th-gen Intel Core M series processor. The tablet is also expected to come with at least 4GB RAM.
The Galaxy TabPro S2 will rival with the upcoming iPad Pro and Samsung is expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S2 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is scheduled to be held on February 26 in Barcelona. The company is also expected to launch Galaxy Tab S3 at the same event.
