Kate Middleton and Prince William have been plagued with divorce rumors. New reports suggest that the Duchess of Cambridge will be spending Valentine's Day alone. However, it's not what you think.
Among the royal duties of the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge is traveling around the globe. The couple has been spotted together on various occasion visiting different countries and events. They have been taking more royal responsibilities lately as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip age.
This coming Valentine's Day, Kate Middleton will be hitting the road on her own as she is bound to visit the Royal Air Force cadets based in Cambridgeshire, England. Unfortunately, the trip doesn't include her better half. Thus, Kate will be spending Valentine's Day alone, Vogue reported.
The Duchess of Cambridge has been serving as the Royal Patron and Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadet Organisation. She took over the said position after Price Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and her grandfather-in-law, stepped down.
Kate Middleton's Valentine's Day duty was announced this week. Thus, there will be no romantic breakfast in bed and roses for the royal mom.
"The week acts as an initial 'camp experience' for cadets who are in their first six months of membership. Her Royal Highness will join the cadets as they view a Tutor aircraft, and participate in a personal development training session," a Kensington Palace statement said as Honey reported.
Though Kate and Prince William will be spending most of the day apart, Cambridgeshire is only an hour-and-a-half drive south from Anmer Hall where the royal couple lives with their children. So, Kate Middleton might still make it back in time should they have Valentine's Day dinner.
There are no concrete details yet for the royal couple's Valentine's Day plans. However, it is certain that they will still be doing royal duties on the most romantic day of the year.
