Ariana Grande and John Legend join voices! The duo covered the 1991 Disney animated film "Beauty and the Beast" track.
Ariana Grande and John Legend covers the official soundtrack for the live-action remake of the 1991 Disney animated film "Beauty and the Beast" due this year. The remake casts "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson as Belle and "Downtown Abbey" star Dan Stevens as Beast.
The song sees Ariana settle down on her high-ranging powerhouse singing, says Billboard. Her lowered down voice seems to fit perfectly with Legend's warm toned vocals. The duo's harmony was really noticeable, proving Ariana and Legend's pairing was of the perfect match.
The song was first heard during the release of the third and final trailer for the 2017 live-action remake "Beauty and the Beast," reports Rolling Stone. The "Beauty and the Beast" remake is part of Disney's expanding list of live-action remakes of Disney animated classics. Live-action remakes are apparently in the making for "The Little Mermaid", "Mulan" and "The Lion King".
Ariana Grande and John Legend's remake version of "Beauty and the Beast" OST was produced by Ron Fair. An upcoming music video is slated to be released later this month and will be directed by Dave Meyers.
The "Beauty and the Beast" OST was originally sang by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson in 1991. The song won two Grammy Awards, "Best Original Song" in the Oscars, and a Golden Globe award.
Soundtracks for the 2017 "Beauty and the Beast" will feature tracks from the original 1991 film written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. New songs will also be added by Alan Menken and Tim Rice. Josh Groban and Celine Dion will also be adding music to the soundtrack as well.
The live-action remake "Beauty and the Beast" will be hitting theaters on March 17. Meanwhile, listen to the full track below.
