Bethesda has made it more than clear that developing "The Elder Scrolls 6" is not its immediate priority and that it has several more games it wants to release before focusing on the "Skyrim" sequel. However, fans still seem unconvinced and believe that the studio is developing the game in secret only to spring the surprise on gamers once it's done.

It can be recalled that several weeks ago, Bethesda's Pete Hines debunked claims that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be released in 2017 and clarified that the studio is not facing delays with the release of the game. Instead, he explained that it is working on two other major projects before focusing its resources on "The Elder Scrolls 6", The Express reported.

However, a recent posting made on Bethesda's ZeniMax site, looking for an "excellent 3D Animator to create and implement gameplay animations" has raised the hope of gamers that the studio may be working the game low key and is investing in a talented addition to the team who could both create high-quality animation and adapt them to meet technical constraints," Gaming Bolt reported.

Speculation is rife that the hiring is connected to "The Elder Scrolls" franchise because among the criticisms made for "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" was its poor quality animation. The report hinted that the studio may already be addressing the weaknesses of its last installment by beefing up its team, reported GameSpot.

Meanwhile, players of "The Elder Scrolls Online" for PC got an advance treat when the studio released the Homestead expansion, a free add-on that lets players buy different types of living spaces. Players can choose from 40 options and customize their homes with the use of over 2,000 pieces of decorations and furniture pieces. The expansion will release on PS4 and Xbox One on February 21.
