With the upcoming closer release of "John Wick: Chapter 2", without much needed promotions, the film is receiving great hype due to Keanu Reeves comeback as the titular retired assassin in the anticipated sequel. Aside from Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Ruby Rose of "Orange is the New Black" will star in "John Wick: Chapter 2". In an exclusive interview, Ruby Rose talked about what it is like to film action scenes with Keanu Reeves.
Ruby Rose plays the character of Ares. From the released trailers and teasers, Ares is briefly seen carrying a gun, sitting inside the car and shooting at the lead character, John Wick which is played by Keanu Reeves.
What is the relationship of Ares to John Wick? Will they become friends or stay as enemies? Those questions will be answered on Feb. 10 when "John Wick: Chapter 2" premiered in theaters worldwide.
Ruby Rose also dished out that Ares and Wick will not have much hand-to-hand combat as they will sport their skills through the use of weapons in "John Wick: Chapter 2". In an interview with Yahoo, Rose recounted her experience with filming. "I got a little elbow from Keanu," the actress stated. "He was flipping me over his shoulder and he put the elbow out. But I loved it."
She further revealed that Reeves and Wick are on the opposite side of personalities. While John Wick as an assassin would not hesitate to kill, Reeves is, in fact, gentler. "He wouldn't hurt a fly," Rose stated. She added that during fight scene together, Reeves had the habit to ask if his co-star is okay, according to Today.
"John Wick," told the story of the same named retired assassin on his journey to vengeance after a group of thugs stole his car and killed his puppy left by his dead wife. However, "John Wick: Chapter 2" is reported to focus on John Wick's return to employment as an assassin when a former associate threatens to take over the international assassin's guild.
"John Wick: Chapter 2" also stars Riccardo Scamarcio, Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynihan and Lance Reddick.
