In last week's "Coquilles," we got to see one of the most gruesome murdering sprees of the first season of Hannibal. A man so deranged that he "turns demons into angels," quite literally. Is Will Graham losing his grip? Does this case put too much weight on his shoulders to continue his work with the FBI? What does this mean for tonight's episode, "Entrée"?  (SPOILERS to follow)

"Coquilles" was a pretty unique episode considering the previous episode, "Ceuf," did not air on television due to some plot points. For continuity purposes, the show was edited and released as a 6-part webseries on NBC's website and YouTube. If you watched the webseries you were pretty much still in the main storyline.

The episode opens with Will Graham sleepwalking down the road from his house. His reoccurring dream of a giant stag is present but the sleepwalking part is new to him. Graham is losing sleep.

He goes to a crime scene still tired but is woken up by the severity of the crimes. This murderer turns his victim into angels by giving them wings with their own skin. It is just as gruesome as it sounds.

Will deducts that this killer uses his victims to watch over him while he sleeps for some reason. It turns out that this killer is diagnosed with brain cancer and somehow chooses his victims by their faults, calling them demons. We get to see his point of view for a few victims: their heads area ablaze in his eyes.

Will does not catch this one. The killer ends up turning himself into an angel (somehow). This case allowed Crawford and Graham to argue about Will's position throughout the episode. Will is losing sleep and is afraid he will lose his mind. Crawford needs Will's talents.

Maybe the best part of the episode was Crawford's wife's secretive nature towards him. She has cancer and is pulling away. Hannibal helps her admit to her husband (who actually kind of figures it all out on his own) that she is dying. It was a very "human" storyline in an otherwise grotesque show.

This episode actually resulted in Hannibal being canceled in Utah.

In tonight's episode, Eddie Izzard guest stars as Dr. Gideon. Watch the preview for this week's episode as well as an extended look at Dr. Gideon:
