Harrison Ford is one of the America's most loved actors after having starred in "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars" films. Unfortunately, his own plane nearly collided with another plane when he landed on the wrong runway on Monday.
The 74-year-old actor was flying his plane in California when he landed on a runway at the John Wayne International airport in Orange County. Harrison Ford was in his single-engine Aviat Husky. He almost crashed into a Boeing 737 passenger jet.
According to the Independent, Ford was confused and had then asked air traffic control, "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?" It turns out that Harrison Ford had actually landed on a taxiway and not a runway. Fortunately, the two plans didn't collide and the American Airline passenger plane was able to depart for Dallas just a few minutes after the scare.

What Ford did was actually an offence under the US Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) safety rules. The FAA is currently investigating Harrison Ford. The "Blade Runner" actor has always loved planes. In fact, this was not the first incident where he had encountered an accident while flying his plane.
Terry Williams, the National Transportation Safety Board representative told The Hollywood Reporter that everything was still being investigated. The authorities have yet to reveal a formal statement about whether Harrison Ford can keep his license or not.
In 2015, he crashed a World War Two-era plane into a gold course. Before that, in 2000, he made an emergency landing on a Nebraska airport, scraping a plane along the way. Aside from his near-misses, Harrison Ford is an experienced pilot who has been flying for years, although perhaps he should take it easy in his sunset years.
