SpaceX NASA To Spend Almost $30 Million For Mars Launch Capsule

Space X automated mission which is supposed to launch in March 2018 has been moved to 2020. It is said that NASA is going to help for the launching of the capsule and it is going to spend almost $30 Million.

According to Space X president Gwynne Shotwell, this mission is called the Dubbed Red Dragon Mission and the cause of the delay is due to preparations. Shotwell said preparations including the need to put more resources especially to focus on their Crew program and Falcon Heavy program, as per Tech Times.

As Shotwell goes on, she added that the modified Dragon V2 capsule will be used for the Space X mission and it is also planning to launch a rocket to Mars every 26 months depending on if Mars is aligned to Earth. Space X first manned mission to Mars on 2024 or 2026 is already on the company's list.

Space X mission's role upon launching is to promote experiments related to science and charges to the Martian surface. This mission will also help the company to obtain Mars study as the system is programmed to bring Mars samples such as Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV), hardware, as well as the Earth Return Vehicle (ERV).

Meanwhile, Blastr also confirmed that Space X had a successful launch on another Falcon 9 rocket last Sunday, Feb 19, 2017. The capsule contains 2500 kilograms of cargo and it is destined to the International Space Station.

Meanwhile, Space X will be transporting NASA Astronauts going to International Space Station by 2018. Space X and United Launch Alliance are the two private companies that that was awarded by NASA for the mission

It is also said that this is the third time that the company has to launch its reusable rockets on solid ground. And the first time Falcon 9 has made a successful launch during the daytime. Space X will also begin launching Complex 39A in September as part of its 20-year lease in NASA.
