'Gears of War 4' News: Latest Update Requires A Huge Memory Space, Title Already Over 200GB

Microsoft Studios released a new patch for "Gears of War 4." Unfortunately, the new update requires a huge memory space, according to sources.

Fans and players of "Gears of War 4" have another reason to rejoice. Tweak Town reported that a massive update for the said title is already available.

However, gamers should be prepared with the latest patch as it will require a big memory space. The "Gears of War 4" update needs 101 GB. To make the matter worse, Windows Store can both the update and make players download the 248 GB instead.

Game Debate reported that there could be a huge error on Microsoft's part. The base game of "Gears of War 4" is only 50GB so it's unbelievable that it now takes up to 248.5 GB.

Reports have it that the patch is so massive because of the maps. Unfortunately, this feature is locked behind a season pass paywall. Thus, "Gear of War 4" players who do not have a season pass will have to download a content that they can't access.

A number of games also did the same like "Halo 5." In fact, some players were turned off by the massive but useless content. The question now is, will this have the same effect on "Gear of War 4" fans?

Some players believe that Microsoft Studios should make the huge updates optional for online play. Of course, gamers prefer if the game will not be taking that too much space so they can upload more titles.
