'The Originals' Season 4 Spoilers: Will Hope be the Savior or Greatest Foe of the Mikaelsons?

A new poster for “The Originals” Season 4 was released ahead of its season premiere next month. It features Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter, Hope. The poster gives fans a hint that Hope may play a pivotal role in the coming season. There are speculations that she could even be the greatest foe the Mikaelson family has faced.

Hope will no longer be the baby that she was last seen as when “The Originals” Season 4 returns. There will be a five-year time jump and the character will now be played by Summer Fontana. In the poster, Hope seems to be walking barefoot in a dark place and surrounded by dead ravens. The promo poster reads, "Evil walks with us... Always and forever.”

EP Michael Narducci in a TV Line interview, revealed that Hope has Hayley’s street smarts. Whether she has her father’s temper and willingness to protect her family at all costs remain to be seen. Hope’s genetic make-up is that of a vampire, wolf and a witch. She is one of a kind among the characters of “ The Originals” Season 4.

Whether she will be led by evil and become an enemy of the Mikaelsons or their savior will be known in the upcoming season. What is being speculated much on is that the powerful little witch will play a key role in her family’s fate “The Originals” Season 4.

Narducci also revealed that New Orleans will be vulnerable to powerful vampires and God-like creatures. They are too much powerful for even Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) to handle. The new big bad of “The Originals” Season 4 will be after Hope.

When viewers last saw the Mikaelsons, all of them were incapacitated. Rebekah (Claire Holt) turned into a ripper due to a curse. Freya (Riley Voelkel) lost consciousness after she was poisoned. Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) were bitten for which a cure has yet to be discovered.

All four of them have connected their souls with a spell according to TV Guide. This means that they won’t be able to wake up until Klaus does, hopefully on the early part of “The Originals” Season 4. He went into coma after Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) stabbed him with the Tunde sword.

This leaves the future of the Mikaelsons in the hands of Hayley, their only hope for survival. She will do everything she can in order to find cures for all of them and maybe she will get help from Hope. “The Originals” Season 4 will premiere on March 17 on The CW.
