Chris Brown, Karrueche Tran Split: Singer Cola Kay Witnessed Rapper Abusing Girlfriend?

It seems like history just keeps on repeating itself with Chris Brown and the women filing allegations of domestic violence against him. Brown recently split from his girlfriend and supermodel Karrueche Tran after she filed a restraining order against him for physically abusing her.

After Tran's accusations against the "Don't Wake Me Up" singer broke into the media, many loyal Chris Brown fans stuck up for the idol, claiming that Tran was lying just to get attention. Not able to keep it all to herself, singer Cola Kay, who is also a neighbor to Brown, has finally spoken up about the matter.

As it turns out, Cola Kay may be a key witness to Chris Brown's crimes. "Some of y'all make me sick to my stomach talking about," Kay tweeted, New York Daily News reports. "Karrueches lying. I've heard him beating her myself. I even called the police"

Cola Kay then goes onto reveal that she too had once been in the position Tran was and hence could relate to her when she heard the screams and noise. However, like most neighbors, she thought at the time that it was none of her business. And hence, she never walked up to her neighbor's house to check the situation.

However, when no one believed Tran's version of the incidents is when Kay decided that it was time she stood with what was right and opened up about all she has heard and seen. "I don't regret sticking up for Karrueche or telling the truth," Kay wrote. "Whatever comes with it. I stand for what's right at all times."

According to People, Chris Brown has been texting Tran constantly ever since they split, at times claiming that he was still in love with her and then threatening to make her life "a living hell". Tran has even had to switch her phone number a few times, to no avail. 

It is still unclear if the police will question Kay as a primary witness to Brown's domestic violence case. Singer Rihanna, Brown's ex-girlfriend before Tran, had made similar allegations against Brown at the time when they were dating.
