"Grey's Anatomy" stars Ellen Pompeo and Justin Chambers, has revealed their thoughts on the prospect of their characters getting together. Sandra Oh gave her thoughts on a possible return.
In an interview, Pompeo said that the prospect of a Meredith and Alex romance will not feel comfortable. She said it will feel weird despite having Chambers as one of his most favorite persons on earth. She likened the possible scenario with her longtime screen love-interest Patrick Dempsey, E! Online reported.
"To potentially maybe have him as a love interest would be like kissing my brother. I used to say that about Patrick Dempsey all the time too because just we'd been together for so long," she said.
To be fair, she added she is not really a fan of the love interest part of the show. "Kissing guys that aren't your husband is, you know, a little weird. I guess it wouldn't be if you didn't like your husband, but I happen to be very, very fond of mine," she said.
Chambers echoed the same sentiments personally. However, he went to acknowledge that the matter is out of his hands. Having Shonda Rhimes as his boss, he could not really rule out such possibility.
Elsewhere, former "Grey's Anatomy" star Sandra Oh talked about her possible return to the show. In an on-screen interview on "Access Hollywood Live" the actress said that at this point she does not see her character coming back, People reported.
Oh then clarified that she is not entirely closing the door on her return but it would have to "feel right." She revealed she has already discussed the same with creator Shonda Rhimes.
"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
