On Feb. 27, Pokemon will be holding the Pokemon Day Event that fans have been waiting for. Details about the event have been revealed. The event will be held in "Pokemon Go" and it will feature movie marathons, figures collections, bonuses and a lot more.
"Pokemon Go" fans will celebrate with The Pokemon Company in commemorating the launch of the first Pokemon games in Japan. There are several promotions that fans should look forward to and these include the unveiling of a new Gallery Figures collection. The first set will feature Magikarp, Pikachu, and two other creatures.
The Pokemon Company has released details on the Pokemon Day event. Players of "Pokemon Go" can proceed to Pokemon TV to check on a movie marathon scheduled on the big day itself. While the movie marathon will be running for a limited time, fans can relive the memories in "Pokemon 4Ever," "Pokemon - Zoroark: Master of Illusions," and "Pokemon: The First Movie."
Meanwhile, the Trading Card Game Online will also take place in "Pokemon Go." Fans will have the chance to get Trainer Tokens from the Bonus Wheel. The Bonus Wheel will be up all week so fans still have a couple of days to grab tokens for "Pokemon Go." Other rewards await those who will keep playing on the Bonus Wheel this week.
WWG adds that the upcoming "Pokemon Go" event will feature festive hats for every Pikachu that players will encounter. The outlet notes that the Pokemon Day event is similar to the Christmas event that the game held during the holidays. Pikachu will keep its party hat even after evolving into Raichu.
Pokemon Day celebrates the 21st anniversary of the Pokemon games. "Pokemon Go" players are encouraged to play the hit augmented reality game as it will offer numerous bonuses and rewards.
