More good news is on the way for John Mayer fans. No, he isn't getting back together with Katy Perry. Mayer, in addition to his 2013 summer world tour, will be coming out with a new album this summer. Mayer has been relatively quiet in the music department since his throat surgery, but now it seems like the singer/songwriter is going full steam ahead with his music career.
Mayer took to his Tumblr page to make the announcement. Mayer posted:
"New record this Summer... Not a Born and Raised "plus"... A new group of songs to bring the whole thing up to date with Summer 2013. I have that hunger that always precedes something meaningful. See you all soon. And thanks for the warm welcome back to the stage. Getting back on it a little at a time."
Mayer's relationship with Perry took up a lot of the headlines, along with their recent split, but it looks like Mayer will once again be making headlines for his music. Mayer's "Born & Raised" world tour will kick off July 6 at Milwaukee's Summerfest. According to JohnMayer.com, the tour is scheduled to conclude October 23 in Amsterdam.
