'Outlander' Season 3 Spoilers: More Intimate Scenes for Jamie, Claire Like Never Before

Fans of “Outlander” Season 3 know very well that there is still at least seven more months before its premiere. This early though, Caitriona Balfe teases that she is pretty much confident that Jamie and Claire’s reunion scene alone will make the long wait worth the while.

Diana Gabaldon’s third book from which “Outlander” Season 3 is based on, starts with the two lovers in two completely different timelines. Balfe revealed that it will be the same for the TV version according to ET. It is also rumored that the coming season will be having more intimate scenes than the past two seasons. The previous seasons focused more on the political arc of the story.

Even while the star-crossed lovers Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire will mostly be apart in “Outlander” Season 3, Balfe, in an interview with Vanity Fair, promised that there will be more intimate scenes for the couple. She said, “There will be some other sex going on."

With this revelation, however, “Outlander” Season 3 fans are asking how Jamie and Claire can have that much sex in their old age. They will be reuniting after 20 years and they will be in their early 50’s by then. Balfe replied that the love story of Jamie and Claire is timeless and who they are inside, therefore, is also timeless.

Balfe added that age is just a number. According to her, the passion of the lead characters of “Outlander” Season 3 will still run very hot. She believes that since Claire has been repressing her passions while she was with Frank (Tobias Menzies), their passions will explode like never before when they reunite.

When “Outlander” Season 3 returns, it will be with Claire living in Boston and Jamie’s life right after the Battle of Culloden. Unlike the book, the actual battle scenes will be shown in the TV series. Viewers will get to see some characters die in the coming season.
