The new Samsung Galaxy S8 will be unveiled on March 29 and it has been made official by the company. The smartphone will not make any appearance at Mobile World Congress, where the company launched Galaxy S series of smartphones.
The company has started sending invitations for the launch event which will take place in New York City. The invite appears to be a silhouette of a smartphone probably the Samsung Galaxy S8 with the words "unbox your phone." According to the invite, the launch will kick off at 11 am EDT, Indian Express reported.
A teaser video for the next Samsung Galaxy smartphone has also been released by the company and it hints that the smartphone will feature an edge to edge display. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come in two variants - S8 with a 5.8-inch screen and S8 Plus with a 6.2-inch screen.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come with IP68 dust and water resistance, wireless charging, an iris scanner and a new virtual assistant Bixby. Talking of the specifications, the new phones will come with Snapdragon 835 SOC with 4GB RAM and Quad HD screens, CNET reported.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a significant smartphone launch for Samsung as the company releases a new Galaxy smartphone every year at almost the same time. The company is striving hard to gain the trust of the consumers after the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
