Huawei P10, P10 Plus Specs, Features & News Update: iPhone Rivals From Chinese Manufacturer

Huawei has finally unveiled its long-rumored smartphones - Huawei P10 and P10 Plus at Mobile World Congress 2017. Huawei has used glass and metal for its new flagship phones.

Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are smaller scale devices that are easily pocketable and feature top notch hardware. The company has launched these devices with dazzling colours, a custom built SOC and they are equipped with Leica's camera technology.

The Huawei P10 is a smaller device featuring a 5.1-inch full HD IPS-NEO LCD display. This phone is one of the first phones with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Huawei P10 is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 960, which is an octa-core SOC, reported GSMArena. The phone has 32GB/ 64GB internal memory and comes with 4GB RAM. The storage on the smartphone can be extended via a MicroSD card slot (uses SIM2 card slot).

Leica has designed the camera for the smartphone and it features Dual 20 MP + 12 MP with OIS. The cameras on the Huawei P10 are able to capture 4K (2160p) video recording at 30fps and full HD video (1080p) at 60fps. The front camera is an 8MP shooter. The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor at the front and has a USB Type-C port. The phone houses a non-removable 3200 mAH battery and supports fast battery charging.

The Huawei P10 Plus is Huawei P10 on steroids. The phone has a 5.5-inch IPS-NEO LCD with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. This phone has a curved display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Huawei P10 Plus comes in two variants - 64GB internal memory with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal memory with 6GB RAM, reported BGR.

Huawei P10 Plus comes with the same camera as on the Huawei P10. Both the phones also share the same SOC. The smartphone has a non-removable 3750 mAH battery with Super Charge technology. The Huawei P10 Plus also has a faster LTE mode called 4.5G which is not present in the Huawei P10. The smartphone also gets an IR Blaster.

The Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus will be priced at €649 (about $685) and €699 euros (about $738) respectively. Both the phones will com with Android 7.0 Nougat and will be released in March this year. The smartphones will come with Huawei's EMUI 5.1 software that has enhanced machine learning and 'Highlights' feature in the Gallery which is co-developed with GoPro for enhanced image and video editing.
